Jacking
Stands - comply with AS/NZ2538
EDMO JACKING STANDS were developed to
comply with the Australian Standard for
jacking vehicles (AS/NZ2693) which prohibits
a person from getting under a vehicle
supported only by a jack. The standard
says "do not get under a load supported
by a jack. Use a suitable stand."
The EDMO Stands
are adjustable for height and that adjustment
is carried out hydraulically, eliminating
the risk associated with the generally
available adjustable stands which require
manual adjustment, often resulting in
physical injury to the operator. EDMO
have safety engineered into its Stands.
EDMO Stands are
positioned under the vehicle using the
detachable transporter which allows the
operator to easily move stands and position
them under vehicles without having to
get under the vehicle. One transporter
will be sufficient for several stands
of compatible size.
EDMO Stands are
designed to allow them to be used on most
surfaces. When used on concrete workshop
the load is taken by 3 pads under the
Stand. This eliminates rocking. On softer
surfaces, eg in the feild, the load is
taken over the entire base, thus providing
a sure footing for all applications.
Stands currently
available are the 20, 50, 100 and 150
Tonne Capacity Models and range in standard
height from 620mm to 1550mm.
Stands are
frequently manufactured to special heights
required by EDMO customers.
